Nylon: Nylon will stretch by about 20% at 50% of its breakload, compared with 12% stretch for Polyester at equivalent loads. This high elongation makes 3 Strand Nylon a good choice for applications subject to high shock loads. Care should be taken when choosing 3 Strand Nylon ropes through, as Nylon is susceptible to external environmental factors such as salt water and UV.
Polypropylene.: Polypropylene rope is an extremely economical rope that is strong and lightweight. Polypropylene can be stored wet and is resistant to mildew, most chemicals, and marine organisms.
Manilla: Strongest natural fiber rope. For construction or landscaping. Resistant to stretching and abrasion. Knots easily. Biodegradable.
Super Pro Blue: Super Pro Blue rope is an ideal substitute for the yellow poly ropes that are so prevalent in the market today. While the yellow poly ropes are very susceptible to UV degradation and tend to have lower strength and poor handling characteristics, Super Pro Blue ropes have much better UV resistance and excellent strength on a pound for pound basis.
Cotton: Cotton Rope is a lightweight soft 3-strand rope that is often used for decorative purposes. Cotton rope is very stretchy and is extremely comfortable to handle. It can also be easily dyed. Cotton ropes are used for sash cord, clothesline, and Venetian blind cords. Some popular applications of cotton rope are magic novelties and bird or other pet toys. Although cotton rope has many favourable characteristics, it is not resistant to oil, water, or other chemicals.
